sleepy

Thinking about it now, if I were to lose my ability to remember, it makes me sort of sad and lonely. But, if it actually did happen, I wouldn't know any better anyway, because there wouldn't be a past and there wouldn't be a future. There would just be the present, and it would probably feel like time travel, or something similar to a feeling that might feel like time travel. It might even be mystical.

I don't know if it would even be that. You wouldn't have enough awareness of how things should be to give it a context for it to be anything like that. I guess it would just be what it was, but maybe its too hard for us to tell what that would be since we can't approach anything without our history with us.

I just finished a book by Elaine Equi. She writes a lot of list poems. One poem was a list of second thoughts. I liked her. Now I'm reading Jaime Saenz and Jenny Boully.
